The principle
Our fees have two parts: professional fees (our work) and government or third-party fees (money paid to the CAC, the Nigeria Revenue Service, SCUML, the trademarks registry, domain registrars or payment providers).
Government and third-party fees are not refundable once they have been paid on your behalf, because those bodies do not refund them to us. Professional fees are refundable in proportion to the work not yet done, as set out below.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
If you cancel before work starts
- Before we begin and before any government fee is paid: you receive a full refund of what you paid, less any bank or payment gateway charges that we cannot recover.
- After we have started preparing your filing but before submission: we refund your payment less a reasonable charge for the work already done (normally up to 25% of the professional fee), and less any government fee already paid.
Once a filing has been submitted
- After name reservation or submission to the CAC: the government fee and the professional fee for that stage are not refundable, because the work has been done and the fee has been paid to the agency.
- Name rejected or queried by the CAC: we resubmit using your alternative names at no additional professional fee. Where the agency charges again for a fresh reservation or submission, that charge is payable by you. A rejected name is not a failure of service and is not refundable.
- Tax ID, SCUML and trademark filings: once submitted, fees are not refundable. Registration outcomes are decided by the relevant authority, and refusal or opposition by a third party does not entitle you to a refund.
Branding, websites and digital services
- Before design work begins: refundable, less any charges already incurred.
- After design or development has begun: we refund the portion of the fee for work not yet done. Work already delivered, and third-party costs already paid (domains, hosting, business email, licences, plugins, stock assets), are not refundable.
- Where a project stalls because content or feedback is outstanding: if we do not hear from you for 60 days after requesting what we need, we may treat the project as closed. Restarting it later may attract a re-engagement fee.
- Domains, hosting and third-party subscriptions follow those providers' own refund rules.
If we get something wrong
If a filing fails or is delayed because of a mistake on our part, we will correct it at our own cost, including paying any resubmission fee caused by our error. If we cannot deliver the service you paid for at all, we refund the professional fee for that service in full.
This does not apply where the problem was caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you, or by a decision or delay of a government agency.
How to request a refund
- Message us on WhatsApp at +234 703 961 4337, or email us, with your name, the package you paid for, the payment date and the reason for your request.
- We acknowledge your request within 2 working days and tell you what, if anything, is refundable and why.
- Approved refunds are paid to the account the payment came from, normally within 7–14 working days of approval.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first — we will almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Raising a chargeback for work that has been delivered, or for government fees already paid on your behalf, may result in us suspending work and recovering the amount owed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The version in force when you placed your order is the one that applies to that order.
